Biltmore Village Dickens Festival: taking place in Asheville; offering three days of carolers, musicians, storytellers and more.

Theatre in the Park's A Christmas Carol: offering performances in Raleigh and in Durham. This version is an original musical comedy adaptation of the book by Charles Dickens.

Carolina Ballet's Nutcracker: offering many performances in mid and late December. This production features "million-dollar sets and costumes."
