Here's
our directory of sites that are maintained by antique radio enthusiasts!
These
sites feature classic radio restoration, collecting, and memorabilia.
Bill's Antique Radios: a very thoughtful site containing loads of information about restoring various models of old radios, including the Airline Cathedral, the Zenith 7G605 Trans-Oceanic, and the VE301W German "People Receiver." Old Radio Zone: a clean, professional-looking site that serves as an online antique radio museum "with an obvious Zenith radio bias." Other site sections include Atwater Kent, Crosley and Philco. The "Miscellaneous" section has some neat photographs of radios from manufacturers such as General Electric, Grunow and Stromberg. Gary Breaux's Vintage Philco Radios: this site offers information about Gary's restoration work, a gallery, a collection of vintage radio print ads (ads promoting various models of radios) and more. Antique Radio Club of Illinois: "...dedicated to the preservation of antique radios and related items." The group meets six times each year. Art's Antique Radios: this avid collector has "...over 400 radios and radio related items." Visit the site to find pictures of consoles, wood table top radios, Bakelite and more. Jim Millsap's Antique Phonograph and Radio Parlor: this collection involves several very interesting pieces, including a Grebe Synchrophase, a Deforest Everyman, and a Transoceanic Model 600. Jim's Crosley Antique Radio Page: this site's galleries include Crosley radios that were manufactured between 1921 and 1956. |
